There was actually a kid in my year at school who brought a home made bomb in with him one day. It was pretty funny because the police were called in and like the bomb squad or something. He was suspended for a little while. He was pretty weird.

some kid brought in an old ww1 shell to history class. there was only two of us in that class last lesson and we were messing about with it. then the teacher was like k i cant just let him take it home im asking the head teacher. couple minutes later the police came and tapped us on the shoulder v carefully to get out like it could go off any second. apparently it had no hole wherever to show it had been decomissioned and the gunpowder taken out. so the school got evacuated and bomb squad came in to be sure.
turns out it was empty and his gran used it as a piggybank and polished it and everything. the papers the next day just said the school had been evacuated because of a piggybank with no mention of a bomb. so made us look pretty dumb and they misspelled the head teachers name and called him a she.
