Basically, one of the regulars in pop-punk (Greg = http://musicianforums.com/forums/member.php?u=182711) was put under house arrest today for joking that he'd bomb his school on a myspace board, the specific post explaining his actions is here:

Ugh I swear to f'ucking God...
This dude on the highschool forums on MySpace made a thread saying how it would be great to have a school shooting. Then his friends said something in response and I said "It would be better to have a school bombing imo." Well either the cops saw that, or someone called the cops informing them about the thread that was started. They are looking for him and everyone that posted in that thread.
WTF is with goddamn cops, I swear...
The next post on his account was by his Girlfriend Jamie

Hey, this is Greg's girlfriend. He requested for me to tell you all incase you're wondering why he hasn't been posting. He was arrested shortly after his last post for typing something on myspace that was taken as a "threat". He was in the diversion center for five days and was put on house arrest until further notice. He is not allowed to leave his house or use the internet whatsoever. So if anybody has been wondering (which you probably havent) where he has been, well thats it. He will probably not be posting until sometime in July or August depending on the outcome of his sentence.
Post your thoughts.

Four Northview High School students have been arrested on charges of making terrorist threats concerning the school. According to police, the threats were made on a MySpace blog.
At a press conference held Monday morning, Dothan City Schools Superintendent Sam Nichols said media reports that guns had been found at the school were untrue. Nichols said additional security had been dispatched to Northview to reassure parents and students.
The investigation began Friday after a parent informed school authorities about postings that parent’s child had read on MySpace. School authorities informed law enforcement of the situation. The Houston County Sheriff’s Department investigated the matter and made the arrests over the weekend.
Authorities at the conference said that they believed it was possible that the students arrested had been just “mouthing off,” but in the wake of the Virginia Tech shootings and other tragic events any threat had to be taken seriously.
“While this may have been boys being boys ten years ago, everyone knows things like this are off limits these days,” Northview principal Ron Snell said.
Despite the reassurances, a number of students were checking out of school Monday.
Linessa Vickers came to Northview to pick up her ninth grade daughter.
“At first I thought she was just playing, trying to get out of school, but she kept calling and calling and I got to thinking about the shooting at that college,” she said.
A few of the commenst delivered on the article by random people in Gregs area are as follow:
They can say it was a joke all they want but if the authorities weren't notified, who's to say that the plan wouldn't have been activated. You can't say what your child wouldn't do if promped! We need to wake up and STOP making excuses for this.
those boys need to be locked up..or put into a mental ward.. sane people don't think about doing things like this..SARCASTICLY or NOT!
These kids need to be seen by a pshycoligist first to determine state of mind and to recommend how to proceed with these teens.
I think this children should remain out of school the rest of the year and be given counseling
It all comes down to having God removed from our schools, people. We don't stress morals and values especially the value on life. God be with you all.
So, what can we do to save Greg?
