View Full Version : 14" Coated Powerstroke 3 Drum Head, HELP?
So, i bought this pack about a year ago.. it's the Remo Pinstripe Standard Drumhead Propack with 14" Coated Powerstroke 3 Head... so, i'm probably really stupid but is the 14" Coated Powerstroke 3 Head the resonant head or the batter head?? the link for the package is ...

the coating on it is extremely weird so that's why i'm confused if it would be the resonant or batter head... help me if you can... that'd be a big help.

Batter. A Reso head will never be coated. Not to mention the PS3 is thick as hell.

A PS3 will be a reso head.

But for real. The PS3 will normally be used as a batter, but don't let us brainwash you. I can speak for myself when I say, who are you to take advice from a bunch of people on an internet forum? Especially on such a personal issue such as this. Go try out for yourself, and make the PS3 what you want it to be.

A PS3 as a reso and even a normal Ambassador as a Batter will sound like cardboard ****.

PS3? More like POS. It's a matter of hours before the coating comes off.

I'm saying that I wasn't saying that he should use it as a reso because Gavin does. I was just giving an example because it's uncommon and that's the first name that came to mind.

Yeah, that was another reason i was wondering if it was a reso head... when i tuned it up a little and hit it, the coating was coming off after like 4 hits on it... so i wasn't sure if it was just a piece of ****, or maybe i was beating a reso head.
