New China

Hey guys, as you may remember I broke my AAX 17" china a couple of months ago, and am really bummed out about it. Anyway please pick wchich you think the best china would be. I have no facilities that allow me to try cymbals unfortunately so I wanted your opinions. I play punk, metal and a bit of everything.

HHx Chinas are amazing.

HHX 18", definately. I don't think I've ever heard such a pleasing sound in my life, hense the presence of one on my kit.

Either the Zildjian Oriental or the Sabian HHX, theyre both pretty good. I preferred the Zildjian Oriental though.

I'd say HHX. I like my Oriental Trash one but to me it doesn't give such a thrashy sound as a HHX, and if I'm thinking right its cause its slightly heavier than the HHX.

hmm.. not to ruin the HHx loving here. I own a 16 inch Brilliant a zildjian China low.. and it's friggin amazing.. i have soundclips..

Either the Oriental or the Classic. The Oriental has an attackish trashyness to it, while the Classic has a softer and more smooth sound to it. Both very great chinas/

i think the hhx chinas are really nice, but for your style of playing you may want to consider the oriental

Hahah, it certainly does not. It's almost...too pleased. I'd love an Oriental as well, but the HHX just blew me away when I tried it. My ideal set up would include an 18" HHX as I do now, and a smaller Oriental to my left.
