My band's been in the process of recording our full-length album. We've finally gotten most of the basic parts down, save vocals. However, one band asked us to do a quick vocal run over one of our songs so they could pitch it to their small label (to get us on a label show). We did it last night and did a small amount of mixing.

A few people on here have asked what my band sounded like. As such, here's a link to our demo:

The vocals are very very rough. The lead singer does theatre, and he'd just done Orpheus Decending, so his voice was shot. The screaming is me.

Also, comments on my tone are appreciated. I was going for a really deep, filling tone. It's hard to find a good tone to fit with multiple computer tracks, an amazing drummer, and a great guitarist.

Wait, you called your song Dragonforce ****ing Owns?

It was alright, the recording quality really let it down for me... hence it being a demo.

Recording quality? What in particular? I thought the drums/guitar/bass were all well recorded. We haven't mixed yet, but those are pretty good raw sounds.

recording in general sounded weak, especially the guitars. didnt sound as intense as id imagine music like this should be. song is alright, not truly my thing but not too bad. also, the hihat is too high, imo. keep it up, and let us know when you get it fully mixed.

I guess its actually more the mixing though I thought the guitar track sounded a bit thin.

you're onto something. some parts were kinda cheesy, but i'd bet it'd be cool live.

I have to be honest, I hate this "kind" of music...........but I liked that song. There was some of the modern "kids pop punk" sound to it (which i don't like at all), but there was also a little bit of "Bob Mould meets Superchunk" in there also (which i did like). Kids will dig it. I think the teens and 20 somethings would dig it. I would like to hear more of your stuff though

sounded pretty good to me.

i agree on the sound quality, though. it sounded nice, but it wasn't that great.
