Here's the video to the song first...

This is the main groove in it. I love this song because there's so much room to do fills and improvise on.
G------------------------------------
D---------7---5--5----------------------
A--------------7----7-5-0-5-7-5-0------
E--5-5-5------------------------------
B------------------------------------
G------------------------------------
D---------7---5--5----------------------
A--------------7----5-5-x5h7-----
E--5-5-5------------------------------
B------------------------------------
G---------------------------------------------
D---------7---5--5----------------------------
A--------------7----7-5-0-5-7-5-0--8--8888888-
E--5-5-5--------------------------------------
B---------------------------------------------
Then I'll generally throw in a variation similar to this that takes up the place of the second the third messure.
G---------------------7-------7--------
D--5-5---5h7--7-7---9---9-7-9--------
A------7---------------------------
E-----------------------------------
B------------------------------------
G---9--7---7------------------------10--101010101010-
D--------9--9-7-0-5-7-5---5--------------------------
A-----------------------7---7-5-7---------------------
E----------------------------------------------------
B---------------------------------------------------

Why don't you just keep it in one position?

i like this bassline i wrote in my old band.
http://www.myspace.com/forthehighseas
in the song "Wolf Bitch".
repeating guitar part, and an extended alternate melody carried by my bassline. i think it made it really cool, driving, and solid.
especially during the part where the guitar starts doing leads and i slightly change the bassline to be a little more melodic.

I was kinda hoping it would have the feeling that you just look at a tab while holding your bass and give it a doodle.
I guess GPro files wouldn't hurt though :\

I tap it that way

it looks more metal when you are moving all over the place

To be honest, that looks like a pretty damn boring tapping line.

That's a sweet line. I approve.
The song "Sandalwood" is probably my favorite song I've ever been a part of. The bassline's pretty darned cool/fun to play.
