...I seriously don't see what rules he broke. All he was doing was discussing the bands. Is it against the law to share your opinion?

Steerpike attacked other people's opinions with his words, so arguing that he was banned for expressing an opinion is contradictory to Steerpike's actions.

Maybe it's a good thing. He does come off as quite aggressive, especially when he's in arguments. He's a nice enough guy in the forums though.
