When i first heard about a new mad caddies album dropping this year i was mildly excited. I got kind of bored of some of their older stuff. But this new one is...
simply amazing.
Compared to Rock the Plank, it is completely different and i like it a lot more. Much more chill ska, less power driven guitar parts.

If the rest of the album is anything like the song they contributed to the last fat wreck sampler, than i think it is terrible. But that's just me.

I didn't even know there was a new one til I was on work experience and they gave me it to review...I really like it. It's like the chill stuff off Just One More. Yeah reallllly nice summer vibes.

Favorite Tracks: Souls for Sale, The Dirge, Backyard, State of Mind, Lay Your Head Down, Pyramid Scheme
Least Favorite: Today (the chorus annoys me, verses are great), Watcha Gonna Do (not much to it)

'Rock the Plank' admittedly is a good cd. I don't know, they didn't seem to have much potential to improve on. They seem too generic; however, most ska punk sounds mediocre to me. I may check it out.

I just ordered
Mad Caddies - Keep it going
Big D - Strictly Rude
Operation Ivy - Energy Reissue
They have yet to come and the energy reissue is pushed back into releasing on July 10th. I can't wait to get all of them though so I split the order. That's Irrelevant though. I've only heard a clip of backyard. Does anyone have a link to any of their newer songs?

Mad Caddies have a listening party right now on this website. State of Mind, and Tired Bones are both new songs.

It's ok. It has some great songs and a few mediocre ones.

i dunno, i haven't gotten around to buying it yet but live it was awesome and the songs on their purevolume is definately their best material yet.

I'm sure Big D will be worth it, but Strickly Rude doesn't do anything for me.

Strictly Rude is okay. Easily worse than their other two albums.

They haven't released anything worthwhile since Duck & Cover so I'm not too interested.

I thought Strictly Rude was awful, The lyrics weren't that good... I liked about 2-3 songs and that's it.

ok, after listening to it for 3 days. i think its a sick album. its just got a much more chill sound than their other stuff. its still got the wacky fun ska songs (noise complaint, hell on earth, souped up vinyl) and some catchy melodic stuff (steady riot, raw revolution, the one) and some sweet trippy first wavish stuff (strictly rude, she knows her way, deadpan face). i think you guys all need to give it another couple listens cause its good, though i don't own their other 2 to compare it with.
