I have a 1940's-1950's rebranded conn tenor... and a rubber mouthpeice of unknown origin. Now, this combination produces a good sound, but nothing like the sound i really ador, like that of Clarence Clemons... my best guess is that a new mouthpeice, reed combo is in order, wich brings me to my first questions:

What is a good mouthpeice? Willa metal mouthpeice help me get the tone im looking for? What about reeds?

Also, is there anything else I can do to get that rock tone? Any special technique?

Thanks.
