Firstly, i know some of you may remember me asking about certain types of jazz before, but this is the last question. I absolutely LOVE the albulm Pat Metheny Group done called Quartet. What would you reccomend for something similar?

Secondly, the kind of blues i want to get into are the original blues kind of..if thats the word. None of the modern racier stuff labelled blues, i meen THE blues. Like Hard time Killing floor Blues... love that song, thats the kind of style im on about. Kind of slooow kind of stuff. Any reccomendations?

i'd recommend the first album "Metheny Mehldau" as well if you liked the quartet album, especially if you enjoyed the duo tunes as well (which i really loved on both)

you should check out some of pat metheny's stuff and brad mehldau's stuff separately of course and see if you like that (pat metheny's album "Question and Answer" or "Trio 99->00" as well as brad mehldau's "Day is Done")
