Anyone have any good spoken word to recommend? My favorite kind are things inspired by the psychedelic generation. I have two of Timothy Leary's albums, like those, especially "You can be anything this time around". I also really dig this guy: http://www.richshapero.imeem.com/ who mixes primal themes with beautiful wilderness descriptions. I have "The Ram - Wild Animus" by him.

I have "The Ram" too, definitely unique - you're not going to find any recommendations that will give you anything like that. I was given a copy for free in D.C. last year - where did you get yours? I heard they gave away a bunch of free copies around the world. Ken Nordine is pretty good too. I'd also recommend Laurie Anderson, though she's really a performance artist - you might enjoy her sensibility.

Henry Rollins does have some good stuff, but has some pretty crap stuff as well. He's worth checking out though.

I'm not really into Henry Rollins, like the "lighter" side of things. I'll check out Laurie Anderson, I didn't realize she was still around. I got my copy of "The Ram" here: http://richshapero.shop.musictoday.com/Dept.aspx?cp=10773_10854 but I knew about it and heard it because my friend got a free copy on his way out of Coachella two years back.
