Okay i'm in a band and my drummer is not really a metal fan. He is real good though, just needs to practice his bass pedal a lot. Can you suggest any trash metal bands that have relatively easier drumming?

wow horrible thread.
Let me paraphrase:

"HE HAS FAST HANDS"

"Drumming is all easy it isnt a real insrument."

"HE NEEDS TO WORK HIS BASS SPEED "

tell him to take drum lessons and you should take lessons for whatever insturment you play as well cause you dont sound good at all

Check out some Megadeth

They have a bunch of songs where very little or no double bass is use, and that guy is a pretty good drummer. Whoever he was.

Are you talking about double bass speed or just single foot speed?

Vinnie C. was on a few of their records if I recall.

Then maybe you should learn some music he likes to play, instead of tying to convince him to play stuff he doesn't want to.

I would call pixorlies but to assert that a drum forumer such as yourself has the wherewithal to operate a machine as complex as a camera would be a bit unreasonable

zing!

sure introduce him to bands as such, but if he doesnt like or want to play intense double basssings or what ever he shouldnt feel he has to. If he likes it an wants to improve and go for it, than a metrinome and practice and inspirational music is his friend

As bad as this will sound, you could probably get away with playing the songs with easier drum parts, and nobody will notice.

Metal should'nt be all about ZOMG AWESOMEFAST double bass,Just let him play what he thinks fits,Thats all you can ask.The last thing you want is a drummer playing somthing they dont like...Im pretty sure you would'nt like playing a keith urban song if you liked metallica...

I don't think he said any of those things. I'm not trying to be rude here, but you seem to often show your ignorance about metal and its fans with these sort of remarks.

Okay i'm no drummer and i dont really speak English in my country so i dont really know the technical terms.

My drummer has only one bass drum and i meant that he can go real fast on the snare, toms and cymbals (using his hands). But when it comes to rapid bass drumming he cant really manage.

He recently got into metal and i guess he just needs time to get the feel of it. He's got is own drum kit and he's been druming for 5 years btw.
