Freakin $90/ticket here. But it's worth it!
EDIT- and that's for row SS. not bad. 39th row. I'm just glad I'm in a seat and not on the lawn in the way back.

in his defense, he's pretty limited by how small his kit is.

Yes, good point
No, all in all Neil is a good player, but overrated. I like Rush, don't listen too often though.

Yeah, and don't forget to tell Neil about that moron from this forum that told you to ask that question.
It's people like you who ruin this forum.
Nobody gives a damn about what college you go to.
And nobody cares what you think about his solo.
Take your stuck up attitude and go somewhere else.

Why so angry? I wasn't boasting any credentials or anything, I never do that... people seem to assume that since I go to a music school I must be stuck up
I should be able to have an opinion regardless of if I go to a good music school or if I don't even play music
I don't think that is "ruining the forums" :thumb:

Tbh you're far more of a jackass than him because he merely stated an opinion, one of which he wasn't forcing on anybody, and you have much more of a "stuck up attitude" than he does. Stupid.
I like Rush, not something I'd pay $90 to see though. Even though that really isn't that expensive compared to some of the other bands of their generation (like $500 for the friggin Rolling Stones.)

Yeah, I wish I could go see some bands, but the money kills me... Steely Dan is touring and I can't go :(

This is about rush.
He obviously doesnt like rush.
So therefore he shouldnt pollute the thread with his "opinion".
comptonassrobert
04-15-2007, 03:09 AM
He's not "polluting" anything, you're just a moron for getting so defensive over a music discussion forum. Yes this is about Rush, and he is talking about Rush. Not even in a negative way, he said he likes Rush and Neil.
Hunted By a Freak
04-15-2007, 03:10 AM
Yes, I like Neil and Rush, I was just poking fun at the stylistic attributes of his playing
Denny
04-15-2007, 03:18 AM
Look, I'm Sorry. I just got pissed because every single time I get on here, somebody is tearing into someone about something stupid, or going onto a thread and making some sort of negative comment where it doesn't belong.
All sorts of interesting threads are ruined by that sort of thing, so I snapped. Sorry about the attitude.

Its ok... but if those things bother you then don't contribute to them

I'm seeing them in Wembley later this year, so stoked about it! We haven't got bad seats either, 45 quid wasn't too bad.

Awesome man, lucky bastard. I'd kill to see Peart.

(like $500 for the friggin Rolling Stones.)
$500?
I wouldn't go see the stones for $5. They're horrible. I guess they aren't "my cup of tea".
AS if they weren't untalented enought to begin with, I heard Mick Jagger sings from a teleprompter now.:smash:
I'm not the biggest Rush fan anymore, I went throught that phase though,...the one most drummers do. I do still like them. They do really put on a good show, and they play for like 3+ hours. I saw them at Madison Square Garden a few years ago.

God forbid someone doesn't agree with you
It's talk about a band, there is obiviously going to be people that don't like the band. Me for instance, i'm not a fan of Rush, but i don't think their music is crap, like any informed opinion.
Grow up.

Holy ****! That's crazy, i would never pay that for a concert, even if it is The Police, which are amazing. But i can't help but think this tour is a bit of a cash-in.
That's in US dollars right?

I've been a Rush fan since the late 70's. Dont really like much of their newer stuff. As big of a fan of them- Ive only seen them once- on the Power Windows tour..... pretty much the last decent album IMO ( IMO ok..). Neil is not the end all of drumers- dont really think one exists..but he is devinatly an awesome drummer. I had a chance too see them...but decided too pass it up. All the bands I've liked from the 80's that Ive gone back too see- have dissapointed me... so decided too remember that "one" concert as it is.
peace.

It would be nice if they stopped in Winnipeg on their tour, but for some reason they haven't played this city since 1983! The local radio station was expressing hope that they would play here, but after the tour dates were announced, they have started referring to Rush as "The band that must remain nameless"

What I said above was for tickets a section down from me. Somehow, they go from 81 bucks apiece + service charges down to 31 bucks a ticket + service charges. Not bad.
I hope their collectible bobbleheads are still on sale this year, but not for $60US any more. Those things were pretty cool.
Also, if anyone has ever read Neil's book - "Roadshow", he explains why he uses some elements of past solos. He says it is to give people some things that they remember from past solos, to "make it more interesting"
I don't know if that's a load of crap or not, but his solos are still better than what most people can do, especially at 54 years old.
