nas is ****ing horrible you kids don't know your rap
I'll admit his new material is niwhere near as good as his old. But Illmatic cemented him as a classic.

one good album is nothing to brag about every rap artist has one good album it's what they produce afterwards that cements their image and he couldn't back it up
Maybe. But Nas will stand in my mind as a great rapper. STILLmatic and It Was Written were both very enjoyable albums to me,Illmatic might be my favorite hip-hop album ever. So hes important to me.
Heard a few chicks scream my arm shook, couldn't look
Gave another squeeze heard it click yo, my **** is stuck
Try to **** it, it wouldn't shoot now I'm in danger
Finally pulled it back and saw three bullets caught up in the chamber
impersonating a gun
Always I'm in some ****, my abdomen is the clip
The barrel is my dick, uncircumcised
Pull my skin back and **** me, I bust off when they unlock me
i love these nas ftw
AIRIC

It Was Written is amazing and Stillmatic completely backs him up. 7 years after Illmatic and he releases somethign as good as Stillmatic. That cemetns him pretty well.
Yo, I can hear somebody comin in, open the shelf
His eyes bubblin, he said, "It was on"
I felt his palm troubled him shakin
Somebody stomped him out, his dome was achin
He placed me on his waist, the moment I've been waitin
My creation was for blacks to kill blacks
It's gats like me that accidentally, go off, makin niggaz memories
But this time, it's done intentionally
He walked me outside, saw this cat
Cocked me back, said, "Remember me?"
i think rule is my favorite song off stillmatic, i love that song tbh

Back when Mark Wahlberg was Marky Mark
This is how we used to make the party start
We used to mix Hen' with Bacardi dark
And when it kicks in you can hardly talk
And by the sixth gin you gon probably crawl
And you'll be sick then and you'll probably barf
And my prediction is you gon probably fall
Either somewhere in the lobby or the hallway wall
And everything's spinnin' you beginnin' to think
Women are swimmin' in pink linen again in the sink
Then in a couple of minutes that bottle of Guinness is finished
You are now allowed to officially slap bitches
Em and 2pac are the only rappers i'm really into, but I enjoy all sorts

I really dig the Roots, they have some really good music, and they play instruments.
Eminem, despite being what some people here call ´MTV rap´ Is definately one of the most skilled rappers out there, the Marshall Mathers LP is really great, I started listening to his first Cd ´Infinate´the beats are really poor quality but his lyrics are just as good.
Jurassic 5 is sick too
Mos Def as well

eminem was good 6 years ago.
Yea no kidding he's garbage now.
Eminem's fifth studio album is being worked on heavily and is set to be released at the earliest December of 2007 and will probably be released sometime 2008. Eminem wants the first single to be different than previous times and he said this album will lyrically be his best. [1] T.I. has been confirmed to be on a track on this album, and Eminem is going to be on two tracks on T.I. vs. T.I.P..[2] On a bulletin posted by Aftermath, they said, "Eminem's fifth solo aftermath LP will have Slim coming back so strong, that you'd think it was "The Marshall Mathers LP" on crack."
im looking forward to this most in music

I'd say the best rapping in pop-punk is Sum 41. Just in small spurts, I'd hate 'em if they went full hip-hop. But in songs like Fat Lip and What We're All About the three-way vocal rap sounds pretty cool.
I LOVE old Eminem. The last 5 or 6 singles he's released have been an embarrassment, and I hated Encore. But I must say, I'm really looking forward to this new album of his.
Anyways... why is this in pop-punk?

I guess because lots of people here like rap as of recent, and discussion upon the genre in the Other Music Forums is stupid because the forum consists of dickwads.
