Do you guys subscribe to any?

I think I am going to buy a year of Wonka Vision. It's only 20 bucks for a years subscription and it's a really good magazine.

I don't know why, but I've been subscribed to Revolver for 3 years. Every issue there's one interesting tidbit, but most of it is crap. I'm thinking of subscribing to Rolling Stone soon.

If it wasn't so expensive, I would definitely subscribe to The Wire (http://www.thewire.co.uk). By far the best music magazine I've ever read.

Hot Press is the only one I read semi-regularly. It's not particularly good but they have the odd cool feature/interview

I'm subscribed to Rolling Stone, which usually sucks, but they had some cool articles on LCD Soundsystem and Modest Mouse recently.

Nearly all music magazines are really bad.

If you go to bigger music shops though, you can pick up Plan B or Filter magazines which are pretty decent for indie stuff.

I have a subscription to Someone send an Oink invite to zpowell@gmail.com magazine.

But really I get Spin because it was a free gift, not that I endorse Fall Out Boy as "The Emo Heroes".

"The Emo Heroes" are obviously pixies and DFel. Dur.

I just read Rave every week, which is one of the Brisbane street presses. It totally owns anything you'd pay for, plus everything in it is relevant.

I used to like getting free issues of Spin, eventually not so much to read but rather to cut up and make collages. I haven't read a music magazine in maybe a year.

I have like 3 free years of Rolling Stone, and my mom's friend gets Blender (which sucks for the most part, but is okay for some of its interviews) and gives them to me.

I mostly go into Borders and look at the import magazines and go for whatever looks good that week/issue.
I have also gotten into a dirty habit of buying the NME, because its the only magazine the COOP near VI form do. I don't really like it, but it's nice to stay informed.

There's a music magazine I really like called Uncut. I can't subscribe to it here because it's British but it's worth buying off the shelf. It's pretty thick, and each issue comes with a mixed CD of all the new stuff of the month so it's worth your money. It's also get a really great film review section which is where I found out about The Proposition.

I haven't read a music magazine in ages. The one I read the most was The Big Takeover. That was a really good one to tell the truth.

Can someone shoot me over an oink invite? doctorDee22@gmail.com . Thanks a bunch in advanced.

If you're a pro-level musician, or aspiring to be there, check out http://www.musicplayers.com -- it's an online magazine, and it's free.

Featured artists have ranged from Marillion to Dream Theater to Robin Trower to Joe Satriani to Gary Numan and more... and we have the most in-depth reviews of pro gear of any publication.

We're definitely trying to be different than the other stuff that's out there.
