Okay everyone.... After my efforts last week in learning Pro Tools (and learning what a crap guitarist I am), I was inspired by the 1 minute track I made and the vocals that were put to it so I sat down and worked the 1 idea into a 4 minute instrumental track.

I've given the song the title of MOST because thats the main vocal line that was being sung in the original jam so I stuck with it.

I'd love to hear peoples thoughts of this track..... Hopefully I'll have a version with some sort of vocals (either the girl vocals from the demo, or something I might sing myself) up in the next week or so.

Thanks in advance for any comments either about the song, or about the recording of it.

I've heard sum of your previous little compositions, as you know - and I must say that this is my favourite so far. when the second guitar kicks in - it really gives me a Kent feel. but more edgier. the drum kit keeps the song flowing. the teeny weeny thing you do just before 2 : 30 - kicks *** :p
but then it gets a bit repetetive, as I'm sure you realise. but this might sound completely different (and better) when/if you get vocals on it.
I really dislike the sound of the bass drum, and the bass is quite invisible at times - but other than that... this is great song; even though it could maybe've been cut short.

so I look forward to hear new recordings from yah. good tune this one ;)

Thanks for the thoughts..... Initially I hated that little guitar part that leads back into the soft verse parts, but once I mixed it and separated the tracks with panning I kinda liked it.

I know its repetitive as I find that even myself, i'm kinda waiting for the next bit to come in before it eventually does..... however, I was always trying to keep in mind the fact that I intend to have vocals in there which (i'm hoping will anyway) will fill it out more taking away the monotony of the instrumental.

Not sure whether i'll have the girl vocals in there, or whether i'll play around with some lyrics and melodies and have a stab at singing it myself.

Anyone else had a listen. I'd love to hear more peoples thoughts of it.

Well, I just burned my track to CD and had a listen to it in the car, and I can see what you mean indietrash.... the kick drum is very ordinary, and the bass guitar is kinda semi-existant.

I think its time to invest in a decent set of monitor speakers as the ones on my desk here are okay but obviously don't show up all things properly. I need to give the bass guitar a bit more edge, then raise it a little in the mix... especially when the heavier parts kick in (might drop the compressor off completely too). and i'll play around some more on the EQ of the kick drum to give it more of a natural sound.
