has anybody seen it?
my boyfriend suggested watching it sometime. he has it on his laptop and says that it's sexually explicit (pornographic within the context of the storyline) but that it's a really good movie.

i can't decide whether it would be worth watching. it looks cool, but i don't know if it'd be awkward watching it with my boyfriend. :confused:

I recently watched a bunch of controversial movies, so here's my verdict:

Cannibal Holocaust - This was actually good. OK, it's not brilliant, but it is powerfully cathartic in a unique way.
Caligula - Awful. I couldn't finish it. On the other hand, the story about how the movie got as bad as it did is great—check the wiki.
Baise Moi - I have mixed feelings about this one. Not awful, but I'm not sure I'd recommend it.
Shortbus - Good, if a bit stereotypically 'indie' thematically. The sex is quite graphic, but it's often humorous and naturalistic; he treats the scenes much differently from most directors. It would be awkward watching with most people, depending on who you are and who you know, but if he isn't uncomfortable about the gay sex I don't think it would be too bad.
