Thanks for watching!
P.S. There's also a Incubus - Clean cover on there but it's not very good.

simply love the opening riff. very boyhitscar.
the following chord progression are a bit more "your own", which always is a nice thing. I must admit that I like it very much.
and I also am quite fond of the tempo changes in the song.
you even have a nice voice as well. it really fits the melody. the vocal technique is also good. great falsetto.
this is so good, you could make an all acoustic guitar & vocal album. you don't even need drums, bass and violins etc. if all your songs are/will be this good. but it would also be exciting to hear this with drums, bass, violins, cellos - and maybe even some electric guitar. not necessarily harmonies between acoustic and electric guitar (your riffs are so damn good, you don't actually need any harmonies), but I think that some of the parts of this track would sound even better electric.
I also checked out that Clean cover, focusing on the voice (obviously, since (as you point out yourself) the guitar work isn't stunning. but it's not bad either. I'm confident you'd get it to work with some more practice.) - so that I could paint a more accurate picture of your voice.
and here's what I painted:
when you really use your voice, it's very good. on the more laid back parts - it's alright, but not as good as when you use it in that more powerful world. 'course - it could just be the fact that it doesn't fit this track, and'll sound better on other tracks - what would I know? there's not much material to be found.
which is exactly why you should record summat. asap! 'cuz "It's Over Now" is simply awesome.
PS
good work on the Mario theme! ;)

I really like it - Very emotional chord structure, and I wasnt sure about the faster broken down bit in the middle, but it seemed to work - kinda sounds like 2 separate songs mixed into one.....
Almost sounds like you could strip the 2 parts out and work on 2 separate pieces.
The main part with the lyrics is awesome.... took me about 60 seconds to really get into it, but I love it!
Ya coulda made your bed though ;)

Thanks for the comments, what tempo changes did you mean exactly? I realise I speed up after the little intro stuff. I'm pretty sure the chorus (You were fighting when you found yourself in love) is the same (or should be at least haha) tempo as the verse.
I suppose the tempo changes with the bridge, that might be the bit you mean.
Anyway thanks for the comments. I'm not really fond of my voice so it's nice to hear someone who doesn't mind it
http://www.myspace.com/richardhunt is my solo music page. The tracks on there are pretty old but I'm planning to re do the whole thing with new photos design and music when I get some free time.

I also play drums so I plan to record some stuff eventually, my band takes priority though.
Also yeah, I really should've practiced before playing the Clean video, it has been a year or so since I last played and I had forgotten how the bridge went haha.

Yeah, I'm not happy with the verse vocals/lyrics at the moment and most of it was just filler. I'll hopefully think up something more interesting later on but now it's just a bit too spoken and not sung.
And it was 2 am and I was about to get into bed ANYWAY haha. (although.. I didn't.. and ended up getting into bed at around 5 am)
Thanks for the comments guys.
