We don't talk about this band anymore.

Humans = Garbage is a classic.

I wonder if the new album will be good.

I hope you're kidding. It will be so great. Dystopia hasn't written one bad song. All such classic stuff. I can't wait to hear this album, very psyched.

Duh. Dystopia is one of the only bands I can think of that have all good albums. Some better than others, but still all good.

"Hands That Mold" ftw.

I listened to that on the myspace, and I have to agree. I'm gonna soulseek some albums. I'm surprised I like it this much, theyre not the kind of band I normally listen to. Maybe I should get into htis more.

When they release the new album, and they tour, I really really want to go.

I heard they're only doing something like 6 dates which means they'll all be Cali dates.

One time i was at this cafe and i was flipping through an old issue of National Geographic, and I came to an article on overpopulation in India. And one of the pictures in the article was the picture that dystopia used for album art on The Aftermath.

I thought it was pretty funny, with the first track on that album being Population Birth Control, etc..

So i ripped out the whole page and it is on my wall now..

Also, have any of you heard Dystopia's cover of Rudimentary Peni's Cosmetic Plague? it's sweet.

Are the weird spacey, haunting intros guitar or bass? I always thought it was bass but now I think it's more of a guitar effect.

guitar. cause if you watch them live, you can see..

well besides like Stress Builds Character intro which is OBVIOUSLY a bass guitar.. Also hands that mold is bass, Sanctity is guitar, Ignorance of Pride, the guitar comes in at around 35 seconds, and bass like a second or two after.

lol

They're one of my favorite bands. They finished recording the album, the only thing left is the art and ****.

"SUCH A GOOD SOLDIER, I HOPE YOU'RE F'UCKING PROUD OF YOUR SUN..................................F'UCK YOUR SON I HOPE HE F'UCKING DIES"

best part of any song ever by anyone.

I don't listen to Dystopia too much. I think I've only listened to a few tracks of Human = Garbage. I'll take another listen soon.

I'd say it's much more than the "angsty" approach. Angsty implies that they are mindless whining and complaining about the world, but, the lyrics suggest a much a intelligent approach. Sure, when you bottom-line it, they are definately writing about things they hate about this world in general, but I think it's taking away from them by just labeling them as angsty.

i don't know, i've always just hated their approach to animal rights and such.
i agree with the cause, but it's just the method.

obviously, the idea behind veganism and vegetarianism is that less people should be consuming these products. however, you get nowhere just by hating everybody who isn't like you. if i told someone that they were a piece of garbage because of the way they lived, they would brush me off their shoulder and never want to be like me.

however, if someone realized that vegans and vegetarians are good people who are open-minded, maybe they'd be more interested.

same goes for environmentalist ideals.

but you actually cause a negative impact when you start hating people who aren't like you. they're just as bad as rednecks who hate "tree-huggin lefties". there is no difference.

that's true. even though i disagree with their methods, i guess they at least have some intelligence.
