Okay folks.... I've finally managed to get my shi^H^Htuff together and i've broken out my MBox, my Pro Tools, my Fruity Loops, and my collection of very average guitars to see what I could come up with.
Now please, before you say it.... (because I know you will.... I think it every time I hear it)..... never mind the cheezy guitar and bass riff.... never mind the even cheezier drum pattern I came up with... and most of all, never mind my totally medeocre playing abilities......
Once I start getting better at actually getting different sounds im looking for, i'll actually spend some more time coming up with something worth listening to musically.... but first things first.
This is my first effort with Pro Tools. Interesting thing I learned is that, never record/mix/master with headphones on. It sounded really chunky and full in the cans, but when I took them off and actually played it through my regular speakers it sounded quite tinny.... My only problem is I don't have the ability to easily put my desk speakers through my MBox without getting on the floor every time and switching cables.
Anyway, here is the link for the files on soundclick. I'd be interested in peoples opinions.
