I’m new to Jazz, Funk, and Blues. I was told this forum would help me get into new bands. I saw this on the top of the page and thought this was a cool idea. I can send some albums out in the future once I get some more.

To get into both jazz and blues, I guess a good staring point is Lonnie Johnson

but seeming as you like metal a better route may be to start with white blues guys like Stevie Ray Vaughan.
