Saw people talking about this today and I thought I could create more discussion about it. Saw this a while ago, best movie I've seen in a looooooong time. Brilliant visuals and use of music, and all the actors at their best. Tom Sizemore is one of the best characters out there today. That scene at the end with the prison riot is ****ing brutal.

Discuss! :)

Amazing film, perfect acting by the lead guy. The whole film was a work of class, I like how they added humour in the flashback scenes like a cheap 60's TV show.

That was (still is) one of my favorite movies ever. I love Juliette Lewis as Mallory knox. It is so cool when she kicks that redneck's *** and screams/sings "You made my shitlist!"

I have the director's cut with all the amazing deleted scenes. Courtroom scene is brilliant.

It's a good film. The visuals can be a bit overwhelming but I guess that's kinda the point. The music fits perfectly though, especially in the scene where Mickey kills the indian guy and they head out into the desert with the rattlesnakes and Something I Can Never Have by NIN playing. I love that scene.

But yeah, like I said in the other thread, Robert Downey Jr is the best thing about the film. He's so perfectly over the top.

Was very impressed with it when i saw it, a true Generation X classic. I was baffled to hear Tarintino rejected what they did with his script, it was an excellent movie IMO.

That scene which is a parody of a sitcom with the laugh track behind that disturbing family situation with Rodney Dangerfield as the dad was a real headf*ck. The way it makes you feel is very true to the intentions of the filmmaker, with saying the film is about sensationalism in the media and what it does to the minds of people.

I thought that scene stuck out to me. And when Mickey comes in and kills Mallory's parents and when they leave there's the huge round of applause....it really drives a point home. It's like, "should this be considered entertainment?"

Right. The way they kill them is pretty brutal, especially torching the mom in her bed, but both parents were scum anyway. "You're free Kevin."
