I'm having a problem with my bass (musicman sub bass).
I lowered my strings to the height that I am most comfortable with and they rumble. I know that if the strings are too low they rumble but they shouldn't rumble at this height. I tried adjusting my neck too but it doesn't help much.
I even took it to a guitar shop and they couldn't help.
I'm really desperate.
Please help

Try using a heavier gauge string.

Where's it buzzing on the neck? A general rule of thumb is that if it's buzzing from frets 1-9 it needs a truss rod adjustment. If it's buzzing past that, and not before, you simply need to raise your saddles a bit.

I have actually never heard of that before, but it makes sense.

Tryxx, there is something wrong and something true in what you say there. But I don't know at the moment which exactly.
