Hi Guys,

I've just been experimenting with some new ryth tones with da POD, and finally have something I'm marginally happy with. I'd just like to see what ya'll think of it :)

I tried writing the clip to sound something like metallica, but in the end it sounds more like Megadeth to me than anything else, lol. Anyway, the link is below:

Thanks for the input folks.

Definitely Mustaine guitars there, plus very early 'deth Menza in the drum programming too.

Sounds nice and clear, though at times a little too clear and lacked some feeling... sounded a little too clinical (compare the warmth, yet average recording of Rust in Peace, to the digital, clinical sound of Countdown to Extinction to see what i mean.... Rust is very VERY rough in the recording, but its full of heart and soul).

Definitely a good tone. Crunchy but clear. I'd have to agree that it sounds megadeth-ish but that's not necessarily a bad idea. Maybe tweak it a bit more for an original sound.

Thanks for listening chaps. Yep, I know what ya mean about Rust in Peace. I think if I added a touch of reverb to the ryth guitars I would get a little more ambience in the mix, however, I will need to experiment a little more to get that warmth on the ryth tone.
