Man that is terrible, 2 weeks without a response, and theres only one page in this forum. And they say the community feel is better among bass guitarists. Im off to the guitar forum :@

I'm sure they'll recommend a great bass amp. Have fun

Look for Ashdown or Laney, something about 50W should be ok.

Ummm. ok? Considering there's only a few people who check beginner questions, there's about a bagillion threads throughout the bass forum that talk about beginner equipment, and you are asking a favor, I don't see where you have any room to complain or criticize us.

Anways, you won't be able to find a gigging amp for that price. You may or may not have heard that you shouldn't use a bass with a guitar amp. I'm here to tell you, don't. You will wear your guitar amp down with the low frequencies. These are a few amps I've heard good things about:

You can check out the Fender Rumble series. Many people like them, many people don't. It's a preference thing. I suggest you just go to your local store and try stuff out. If you are nervous about not being able to play stuff, take a friend who can play with you or something. Behringer is hit and miss with quality. You may find an amp that will fall apart easily or you may find one that has great endurance.
