yes it is me.
when did i post last? who knows?
well lots have happened during the past month that may or may not interest you as a bass community.

-first off, my new band.
i am now in a ska/rock/reggae band called the good rats. i pimped our myspace out to the max check it: http://www.myspace.com/thegoodratsska
were just starting out and have our first show on the 13th of april. well record some of our songs afterwards.

-next. as you may know i build basses and guitars, remember the devastator? well its doing fine but its happier then ever with its new sister. yup, i built another bass. ill just get to the pics

lastly i scored a major deal on a new rig. 1200watt capable head with a 500watt cab. tube hybrid. cost new in canadian dollars: roughly $2700. what i payed in canadian dollars 1500.

Looks cool. The only thing I'm not digging is the neck finish, I hate that vintage, yellow-y look.

pretty cool bass. did you do like you did on the devastator and build the body, but ordered the neck from warmoth? how'd you get such a good p-bass shape? did you find a pattern online or something?

also, thats an ace amp setup. i'd love to have an SVT-3 or 4 with that same cab as you.

how does the svt 4pro go with that cab? ive got the svt3pro and the same cab and i would like to upgrade but ive heard that the cab blowing even at low volumes with that head... have you had any problems and can you run it LOUD?

If this first build goes well, the royal kind of concept that I want (that I don't really have the material for) would be something like a padouk body with a clear sparkle finish, figured purpleheart fretboard, and walnut/gabon ebony neck. I think it would be classy.

yo British Kid: the story was i wanted to build another bass, so i went to a store downtown and i found this neck. i loved it soo much so i bought it. since it was a fender shaped neck, its best to make a fneder looking bass. so i made the best of that. so yes, i bought the neck even though i wasnt planning on it. i bought a bunch of tools etc to make my own.. haha.

museic: i havent had a chance to play it really loud. although ive heard good things in reviews. plus the guy i bought it off played it at a stadium here in toronto, so im pretty sure its worthy

there is no guest list but you are welcome to come! we will be on at 8:30 and our set is 30mins. its out first show, tons of people are going to be there

if you like psychobilly i would highly recommend seeing the matadors and the creepshow when they come by. they always do and its a killer show!
