I saw this bass in this weeks Bass Guitar Mag and also some stuff about it on TB. I wanted to show it everybody that hasn't seen it yet. The design is really genius and it looks great.

It is very ugly, but still. I'd be interested in playing one.

The twisty thing looks weird. I can imagine they're fun to adjuct the action on. And what if your neck starts warping ... will you eve notice?

The backside look nice tho

definitely.

i would never pay $3k for one, though.

Thats because you don't have problems. But if this bass is the difference between playing at not playing I think 3K would be worth

PLUS: In the mag it said he was working on a cheaper bolt-on twist model.

Yeah how would you make a truss rod for that?

Yeah how would you make a truss rod for that?

you could put 7 or 8 in there all pulling at a different angle... that'd be such a pain in the *** to adjust.

^Oh god the one on the bottom looks...honestly it looks gruesome. Like a torture device that's going to be in Saw IV.

I'm pretty sure there's only one truss rod, and the action isn't that hard to adjust. Just imagine each string being on it's own plane. The string still travels in a straight line from nut to bridge.

It actually looks extremely nice in the video, and sounds great. I'd love to try one (5 or 6 string). Just imagine it with fanned frets, too.

i dont think its ugly at all, i mean, thats like saying a perapeligic's wheel chair is ugly.

kinda...too bad it cost so much.

I like it, and it wouldn't be any harder to set up than a regular bass. There is a 35 degree twist from nut to bridge, that means that there is only about a 24 degree twist in the neck portion, one truss rod would work fine, it isn't like there is a huge 90 degree twist in the thing.

i know there's some company that makes an ergonomic bass like that with fanned frets. can't remember though...it was posted here like three years ago.

Conlkin if i remember correctly made like a like 11 string bass for Jean Baudin that twisted and had fanned frets. I could be wrong though.

I knew about that bass before it was posted in this week's Bass Guitar.

I think they are ridiculously interesting, and I would love trying one out.

I think the fanned frets give the elusion that its twisted.

That isn't even his conklin, unless you were just using that as an example.

Congratulations, you're a retard!

Joking of course.

Thinking about how that bass would work hurts my brain.

It's a really weird design. But look at how that strap goes in! It's got some built-in strap-lok type of deal on it. I'd love to see it in person and try that out.
