Well there a couple of option

Go with an Essex PJ- The look nice and with the money you save you can replace the bridge and pick-ups for some Lindy Fralin's. Could even throw on some ultralights

Fender Deluxe P is $559

Ibanez SR300 FM is only $349.99

yamaha BB 414_ I have really really good things about this bass. More so than anything else i have listed. The price is only $399


my vote goes to the Yamaha

I'll have to play a Deluxe P, but I remember not liking the Aerodyne. The neck is also a bit thin for my tastes, but I don't mind that much.

Yeah, I was offered if I wanted to go though, so it's a better deal. There's also a band around that uses the bass upfront for the whole thing that I want to see, so I need to work on that as well.

It's not a PJ, but it's still got that kind of sound, plus they're about as beastly as they come. :D You could buy a Precision that you like, and rout a J pickup. Also, Spector does PJ almost primarily, if I recall. That's all I've got for now,so I'll get back to you when I have some more ideas.

Oh, did you ever get your phaser? I finally found mine, so if you still want a Small Stone soundclip, lemme know. :thumb:

If I could find a T40 anywhere bsides eBay, I'd seriously consider it. And I'll have to play a BB again to make up my mind. I'd like a bass I wouldn't have to mod in order for me tolike it, and I'm not a fan of Spectors, but I'll see.

Yeah, I was really considering getting it instead of the Qtron, but I just didn't care for it that much. It's definitely a cool pedal, just not the sound I wanted.

Anyway, back to my original point, I wouldn't call that an envelope filter, because it just doesn't seem like the same effect.

Anywho so today I went to guitar Center to Pick-up my Dargie Bongo 5 HH. Last night i called and put that bass on hold. The guy took down all my info, name, address, phone number..... So me and my dad walked he told to go try some of the other stuff first and then go talk to the guy. So I saw a Bongo 5 HH in red( the guy last night mention this bass) and found my exact setup and fell in love with the bass. Everything about it was amazing. So i played for a couple minutes and went to the guy. I told i him i called last night and put a bass on hold. So typed my name in the computer, no match. He said your name's not comming so he went downstairs to check if it was there. No luck...

The guy said when he open the box of them and a Bongo 5 was never one of them. He check inventory of all guitar center and came up with nothing. So I asked him if there were any other DD bongo 5's at any other stores and he said there weren't. After 2 hours of searching and phone calls(i forgot to write down the name of person who i talked to that night, but i know i called the right store) he said would try to find a fretted bongo 5 DD for me. I left with nothing. The 5 string blew the 4 out of the water. I felt that the neck was too chunky on the 4 and felt like the 5 was perfect. I waiting for a call back.....

Theres that tapping video I had posted on mx/youtube for nearly 8 months that not a soul watched... I didn't realize polyrhythm was such a godlike technique that it required video proof... Good thing I dont hang out in the piano forum.

Justin Kings right hand is incredible but his left hand just kind of follows along playing random chords, also his tunings suck.
