The guys from Heavy Vegetable (Rob Crow, Travis Nelson, and Manolo Turner) got together after 11 years apart and recorded this beastly album called Wake Up Swimming released under The Other Men. Manolo became a gardener and Travis was out kickin it with some silent monks for those years. It just came out on Thursday. I've only heard the first song, "Other People", but it's great and I'm waiting till my copy arrives in the mail to hear the rest. So I haven't heard False Positives yet but it's probably sweet. Here are two tracks I founded hosted online:

"Other People"

"False Positives"

edit: oh yeahand there are two more songs that they have up on their myspace (http://www.myspace.com/othermenmusic)

This album pretty much owns. The music nuances present in it are incredible. Everything just sounds perfect.

A bunch of my friends are Rob Crow obsessed, so I heard about this. The one track I heard was better than the other Crow stuff I've heard. I'm not really a fan of HV or Pinback or Optiganally Yours or Goblin **** or The Ladies.
