Great band. Fantastic singer, due to the fact that he can both scream and growl and switch between them extremely fast.

Here's a link to a song if you've never heard them: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gOkfG0l0pi4

I realize they also try to look as "metal" as possible in this video and also that headbanging with short hair is teh gay, but it's a great song.

Any fans?

Very big fan of them, seen them live, met them, got my pic taken with each of them, got the setlist signed, had some shots with them, they were gonna stay at my house but found somewhere else eventually [ :( ]

Looking forward to their new material now theyve got a drummer again.

Corys drum work on Unhallowed is immense, Funeral Thirst and Hymn for the Wretched are played so funking fast yet so clean, its amazing.

Thread seems a bit weird, what made you decide to talk about them? theyve been about a while and havent really done much lately.

I enjoyed Unhallowed despite it being a Slaughter of the Soul rip-off. In fact, that's probably why I enjoyed it. Anyway, I've seen them live and that was fun, but I never really took the time to listen to Miasma more than once.

Yeah, Black Dahlia Murder is really solid. They just get really boring after a short period of time because all of their songs sound the same.

If you like them, then:

Good call.

I hope they put Hymn for the Wretched back in their sets now.

Nah, I missed them on SOTU.

I'll probably see them next time they come through Vancity though.

Try to catch them, I saw them on SotU, and they were great, and then I saw them again with Napalm Death and Exodus, even better. Seriously, they're much better live.

They sound like a band that would have a lot of energy live.

I'm not a huge fan of their studio stuff, but I saw them on Sounds of the Underground and they were awesome, one of the best bands of the show.

They're incredible. I'm not a big fan of Miasma but Unhallowed is a classic.

They probably just want to tour. They really seem suited for that.

I like the song Funeral Thirst, but that's pretty much it.

Yea, but after a while, it gets really dragging playing the same songs over and over for years without new material......and you tend to lose fans' interest that way too. I would love to hear a new BDM album....

They toured for ageeeeeeeeeeees then had problems cause thye lost their drummer for a while.

I think getting a new drummer spurred them to tour again, too.

They write material on hte road and they say theyre ready to do their next album, so maybe within the year?

Quality band. Unhallowed can get a little boring at times since the songs can meld together at times, but it has alot of energy and alot of headbangable riffs to keep the interest going. Thy Horror Cosmic is full of awesomeness too, fun song to play on the guitar as well.

Miasma added alot of cool lead work to their music and broke away a little bit from the Slaughter Of The Soul rip off as every one was calling them.

One of the better up and coming death metal related bands to be coming out of America.

Although theyve already got their own kind of sound already, i think with a 3rd album with loads of touring under their belt theyll really cement themselves as a band.

They just got a new drummer... It's Shannon from All That Remains, he's a really good drummer. Great band. I saw them at Dirtfest last year and it was super pwnage...

Awesome, he's an insane drummer. Very precise live, too.
