My album of the moment is Tommy by The Who.
It's really doing it for me, i love the instrumental side of it. Overrated or not it's really struck a chord with me. I'm also playing Rum, Sodomy and The Lash by The Pogues a lot as well. It's such a good album.
Name your album/albums of the moment.

Funny you say that considering I had an epiphagasm over that album the other day. To Forgive Is To Suffer, Flesh & The Power It Holds, Scavenger of Human Sorrow... there isnt a song on the album that isnt brilliant, except maybe the cover of Painkiller since I find the castrati vocals a bit of a turn off.

I've been hooked on Arcturus - The Sham Mirrors for over a month now. The last few days The Roots - Things Fall Apart has gotten quite a few spins on winamp. Also I've been listening a lot to Paatos - Kallocain a lot since it's one of my favourite "spring" albums. In my recent smoking sessions Agalloch - The Mantle has been the album I've played the most.
I still can't get how people listen to Agalloch high...anyway, that Paatos album is epic man!
Andrew Bird - Andrew Bird and the Mysterious Production of Eggs.
Just a beautiful album.

Negura Bunget- OM

I've had them both on repeat all of today and yesterday. One's a surrealist black metal band and the other's the perfect shoegaze band but they go so well together.

These groups all are amazing and basically show no comparison to one another. Finnish folk is by far the best neo folk has to offer, and I strongly suggest listening to Poropetra before fully judging neo folk.
Donovan - Hurdy Gurdy Man is diggin' me right now.

I went to a medieval music festival today and watched a bunch of middle-aged smug adults play 13th century music that was more enjoyable than any 'neo-folk' I've heard.

Killswitch Engage: The End of Heartache.
Fun songs to play on guitar...I basically just ran through the whole album playing it on guitar. ( Even though I severely dislike Howard's vocals).

Gore Blessed to the Worms by Disgorge is so devastating and enjoyable its almost ridiculous.
Agreed.

I wouldn't doubt it. Generally, neo folk has been so modernized that it doesn't even contain most of the genre's influences, which remain in traditional folk.

I don't care for his screams, but I love his clean vocals.
Great album too, I don't care what anyone says.

Much the other way around. I love the screams, but I hate the clean vocals.
However, both him and Jesse do that horrible half yell, half sing crap in between, and that's annoying as hell. I even hated it when Jesse did it.
