I decided to record myself practicing today. Here's part of it...
That's all it is though, a practice. So don't expect it to be some planned out solo or anything, it's just some completely random playing that doesn't really make any sense in terms of a solo/song. :)

You need to be in a DOOM metal band!

Heh, well I do play with a metal band... I guess you could call it death metal? :)
Why doom metal?

...no feedback on my playing whatsoever?

horrible quality, and im sure you are very good with your feet, but you could barely hear the kick in the video.

Really? I thought the quality sounded pretty good actually. Not great, but not close to what I'd concider "horrible."

you're right, maybe horrible was a little strong, not very good is better.

Speed isn't everything.
About the video, I found it a little boring, some parts were good, but its not really my genre so yeah.

Well with most metal / death metal drummers (not myself) they try and thrive off making there feet sounds like a steam train...

Some pretty nice playing...good chops, good control of your double bass. To those above: Double bass is not just about speed. Can you control it at different tempos and play consistently? That's the key. Lots of guys can play fast, but they can't control it. Sponer's got pretty good consistency and time with it, and some stamina too.

Should've entered the drum-off, dude!

i thought double bass was some-what steady and constant
not speedy or loud but anyways
nice playing,/kit

I didn't make this video to show speed... I was just in a Meshuggah mood, so I was sort of pretending to play my own version of some Meshuggah song.

Doubt that, unless you mean the slower part I played on the bass most of the time. If that's the case... OK? I wasn't trying to play fast durring those parts, the bass was just sort of the foundation.

This post seems irrelevant to this thread seeing as it doesn't apply to me. If you have some actual criticism on the other hand rather than just bitching about my video/playing/genre, I'd love to hear it.

@440561: About 4 years on drums I think? I've used a double pedal for pretty much the entire time I've played drums. I got one pretty early.

Thanks for the responces. :)
