Hi there,

Today in Dutch class we were given an assignment: Give the class a presentation about a subject of your choice. My subject: "The origin of various types of music".

Now I know you can't just always say: "oh well this comes from that", but I was hoping someone could point me in a good direction of where to look when it comes to the origin of funk music. (e.g. Hardcore was born from Punk)

Thank you :)

What the **** do you think I'm doing here asshole? Homework: assignment someone gave you. What do you do if you don't know the answer to some of the questions? You search the Internet. What's a better place to go than to THE musician forums?

Unless you thought that I was the ****ing supernova of all, Einstein ain't got **** on me and bastards die when trying to diss my ****? Because then you're wrong. I need you and your homo neighbour to help me in the quest of getting a 10+ and get rich for the rest of my miserable pathatic little life!

PS thanks guys for the tips! I'm going to check out the bands, listen to the songs you posted^^
