Many albums on wikipedia have reviews from AMG, Rollingstone etc:
(see: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Seas_of_cheese 'Professional Reviews)
Couldn't we slip in Sputnik review in there too?

I do believe this has been discussed.
Do it if you have the time, it's always good to advertise sputnik in any way possible.

Really? The code isn't that hard once you make one successful one. All you do is copy/paste like normal but just edit the link to your review on whatever Wiki page you're on, and adjust the star ratings accordingly.

It took me about a month to realise how to edit the review box in the first place.

I'm assuming that you have to be a staff reviewer to put up a professional review right? Or can anyone do it?

Nah, I don't think it matters, just as long as the review shows sputnik in a positive light.

It can be any review as long as it's a high standard and gives Sputnik a good impression.

Then I can't post my We Vs. The Shark review because we'd seem like a close minded, naughty community.

I did for one of my reviews, Brand New. The views are pretty good considering it's not default and there isn't much traffic going through. I just don't spend enough time on Wiki to do it.

Wiki was just in the news for being innacutate and biased, and some of the founders and senior editors even admitted to this.

Well wikipedia is along the same guidelines as sputnik technically. It's primarily run by users but there are articles that staff do write and articles that are accurate. It all depends on what you know already to judge if it is accurate information.

I think people's submissions should be approved before potentially bad reviews are submitted to Wikipedia as the main ones.

Yeah I want my review read by a very, very objective group of internet people whose music tastes are unquestionable nad are succesful at real and digital life.

Couldn't people still submit them even without approval?

Yes, if they're douche bags.

So far I've only seen links to staff ones. With all the people using Wikipedia, it could be a pretty effective form of advertisement.

lol you think the mods here control wikipedia as well now?
Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia that anyone can edit
it's none of their business what someone does on another site. if it's not acceptable for wiki they will delete it. if you don't like it edit it but it's nothing to do with mx or mod's approval.

I think people should add reviews even though the only "professional" reviews are the staff ones, as in, those are the only certified reviews. Wikipedia can delete all the non-staff ones if they like but I doubt they'll find them all.
