Help me write lyrics for a song

Im doing a song as a school assigment but i suck at writing lyrics.

The music isnt complete yet but i want it to sound a bit like Genesis.

The lyrics will be about Echo and Narcissus but i dont really know how you write lyrics.

Give me some ideas please.

Very basic, but i have no idea who your characters are, whet the story is etc. So i can only hope that starts you off!

I have wrote something now. I wrote it so that i am Echo, and so narcissus is a random girl that i once loved secretly.
