1. No career goal or life plans: When we met, she was full of ambition. Wanted to do all sorts of ****, like go to the air force and be a mechanic mainly. All sorts of college plans, etc. She was a real go getter. We got married, and it all went away. She wants nothing, has no dreams, has no plans, just wants to watch tv for the rest of her life working at the local ****ing newspaper in the back. I married someone who was going somewhere with thier life, not this person who wants to ride in on my hard work the rest of mine.


2: Parental Differences: I was raised a certain way. It worked. I was raised in a relatively strict, educated household, and have had to earn everything. She was handed everything her entire life, and still expects it to be so (probably explaining why #1 wasn't handed to her so she quit). I refuse to raise our kids this way, and I get nothing but **** from her and her family for it. They all fight me on everything.


3: Severe Clingy-ness/paranoia: The world is going to end if I talk to another female, have any female friends, or interact with anyone of the oppsite sex. If I do, the end result is anger or crying, one of the two.....If I'm away or don't call for 5 minutes longer than expected, she freaks. Example....I was hanging out with friends one night and had my phone on silent. An hour later, we found her camped out next to my car, and I looked at my phone: 113 missed calls! Her excuse? She couldn't get ahold of me, and I was out a little longer than expected, so she panicked.

I think a lot of my perspective comes from the one girl I know I am truly and hopelessly in love with. We fight several times a month, talk about how much we hate each other, and still talk and confide in one another. It's really helped me see: 1. love can work past imperfection and 2. having an imperfect, but working relationship can be everything you need. I would marry this girl no question because I know we can work past any of our problems already. Marrying before you've weathered years of problems is asking for pain later.
