Me to. For the past week I have only really listened to alternative and indie for some reason and now its all about Meshuggah and Opeth.
I've been listening to lots of Post Rock, Math Rock/Metal, Midwest Emo and lots lots lots of electronica but now I'm listening to Necrophagist, Trauma, Candlemass, Death, Obituary, Wormed...stuff like that :p
I can't stand Meshuggah, I don't see what you guys like in them srsly...Tomas Haake (sp?) is a beast though.
@Bjorn: Nice man, I love Zion I and Bjork. Kamelot, I don't that much but pfff...have you heard the Zion I and the Grouch album Heroes In the City of Dope? That and Deep Water Slang are some of my favorites in the genre.

It's mostly Roy Khan's voice I like. But still, the music's kind of okay.
And yes. I have Heroes in the City of Dope. Great album, but I like Deep Water Slang v2.0 more.
Meshuggah are good for a listen every now and then. Mostly because of Tomas Haake.

but yea, the fact that you can use magic is nice. You get this transport spell that allows you to travel through solid objects. It's nice because you can jump, then 'transport' and go through ceilings, or you can crouch, push 'transport', then go through floors, etc.

haha what a hippy *** school
and yet i'm learning so much more than most people going to crappy public universities or probably even john hopkins
it's all a question of how motivated you are to do actual work, which for me is writing papers that allow me some freedom of movement rather than the obviously imperfect system of tests and letter grades
only stupid morons would disagree that "hippy" schools are actually where it's at in terms of overall educational philosophy and structure.
i read an average of about 500-1000 pages a week at my school, and i can't use cliffs notes to bs my way through tests: i have to be prepared to talk about every single thing in the readings because my class sizes usually max out at ten people. not to mention we have to write a lot of papers.
lol probably not even johns hopkins more like
i'm not even a sissy humanities major and i took just two anthro classes last semester and i averaged the same number of pages a week in each of those classes plz

15 years for a dog is a really long time. Most of my friends lost their doge after 5 to 7 years. Your dog led a really long life. I know that isnt much consolation, but when you put things in perspective it may help a bit.

06-11-2007, 10:08 PM
Actually, you're probably going to get more hungry in the day if you eat breakfast. Eating breakfast speeds up your metabolism at the beginning of day, so you quickly process that energy and will feel very hungry in a couple hours. When you don't eat there are a lot of times when you won't even seem hungry.

Actually I came back the week before I got busted so you do the math jackass.
Really the only reason I was gone for so long was because I just really wasn't ever home. (I'm not saying this to sound cool or some ****, because looking back it was stupid and I wish I had stayed home more often) During the week I would get home around 11 and just fall right asleep, and then from Friday until Sunday evening I would be gone too. I'm definitely not going to be on as much, but I plan on being home more often than I used to be, so you guys aren't going to be Nep-free any time soon. Sucks I know, but deal with it.

Haha, that was great.

Uh, Lara Bingle?
Edit: Riva, considering you live in Queensland, which football code do you go for, union, league or afl?
To me, AFL > Union > League, but League is still a passion of mine, so it's hardly something I disregard. However, the common attitude in Qld is League >> Union and AFL, so I'm something of an oddity.
EDIT: I love how biased my Geochem lecturer is. He's got a .pdf on hydrothermal dynamics and with a section on geologically driven processes versus data driven processes. That's how he wrote it... geological. :p

I might've already asked you this, but what course are you doing?
Bachelor of Science, majoring in Environmental Earth Sciences, but my subjects are basically either Economic Geology-type ones, Geosciences of some sort (Hydrology, Geochemistry, etc) or Chemistry ones.
Going to be a metallurgist, economic geology or go into minesite rehabilitation, hopefully.

It's being played on the Gold Coast which basically means Adelaide = FAYLE.
I dunno, we've gotten better at travelling. Plus no Melbourne team ever plays well outside of Melbourne, so the Kangaroos will be at a disadvantage too.

JumpTheF**kUp
06-12-2007, 05:02 AM
Nah, they play like 4 game a year up there now. I have absolutely no idea why, but I think it has to do with getting more footy to Queensland or some shi.
It's a good idea, but they'd be better off promoting it in regional Qld/NT. Some of the blokes I've seen playing footy up here knock the socks off of players in southern feeder clubs.
Isn't Carrera in Canberra?
JumpTheF**kUp
06-12-2007, 05:08 AM
I doubt they'd get large enough crowds to make any sort of money in regional Queensland. Same deal with most of regional Australia basically.
edit: lol probably. They moved to Gold Coast either way.
Thats odd. So north melbourne is playing adelaide in the gold coast?
Carrara is on the Gold Coast, though. :p

Yeah, but sometimes it's hard to get a job in enviro so graduates go into horticulture instead... It's as if all that specialized learning at university didn't really matter in the end, meaning it could be so generalized to allow jumps like that.
:/
Addicion: especially when you are 1 of 4 enviro science graduates from the same uni who got a job at the same place.
