To he or she who mods, or anyone else a bit peeved. I'm sorry i didn't spot the jazz theory thread... I'm going to sift through it now to see if my question is answered... i cant see a way to delete my thread on my end. I'd still be happy for answers though ;)
Any experts in here? I don't come by the forum very often I admit, so I wouldn't know. I know harmony somewhat, I am studying jazz after all.. but the complexity of assignments im getting is really foxing me... stuff like harmonizing every note of a head... (my one and only love , and days of wine and roses).. i really dont know know what to do with em, how do you know what extensions to put on passing chords... sometimes its obvious that you can keep the same ... often it isnt... what does anyone use as a basis for reharms? I'm a pianist, but wouldnt mind hearing from any other comper, of even a horn player whos good on the harmony. please be as complicated you like in any useful suggestions!
I also have a non jazz question, but it is musical... i don't really trust other parts of the forum to give me a good answer... I want to by some ear plugs. I've lost my etymotic something or other 20 ones.. I plan to get another pair, plus some molded ones.. of 15 dec reduction i reckon. Which ones are good? is the combination of cheap 20 decibels, and expensive 15 good enough for small combos, through to big bands? Where do you get them from?
