View Full Version : Daft Punk's best show ever.
So I recently heard rumor of some legendary Daft Punk show where they played straight through Discovery, and it's supposed to be one of the best concerts ever. Does anyone know any details about this show? I'm desperately trying to track down a recording, but I have had no luck, since my only search terms so far are "Daft," "Punk," and "Discovery."

 is all I can do.
In my top 10 albums of all time without doubt. I would pay lots of moolah for a show like that.

Discovery is a fantastic album, I'd love to see that.
while we're on the subject, apparently there is going to be a DVD released of their performance at Coachella 2006.

Daft Punk are sorta stupid but I still listen to their singles. And Veridis Quo.
Does nobody know of this show?

whoops indeed.
Is this the band that uses cartoons as their music videos? If so, I thought that it was all just a joke, and not a serious band... woops? You. Go on Amazon, find the DVD Interstella 5555, and buy three copies of it. Now. Order it express shipping. The second it arrives, go straight to the largest television with the best sound system to which you have access and watch it three times, once with each disc.

It's amazing. Brilliant movie, and the album, well, it hardly needs to be talked about, we all know how incredible it is.

Sort of on-topic; does anyone have any Live material at all?
EDIT: Never mind, I'll steal it from Youtube. I wish I had seen them at Coachella. Looked like an amazing show :(

I dunno how I feel about Interstella 5555. As a movie, it's really not that interesting, but it works with the music and I certainly can't disrespect Leiji Matsumoto...
Discovery though, oh man. Great album.

So I just watched Interstella 5555 for the first time. Weird story but awesome animation. Fits so well with the music. And I just love Discovery more and more.

I wouldn't say that. Homework is good if you want some drum n' bass stuff thats not too complicated. Human After All is pretty average though.

Homework isn't D&B it's House man, nu-electro [shudder]. You want Drum and Bass check out Monster Zoku Onsomb!
Eat you face and get outta town!

I still haven't listened to Discovery . They're playing at Lollapalooza, so I should probably do some studying up.

Human After All isn't that bad. It was better than I was expecting it to be after reading up on it before hearing.

I dunno. They both have some pretty awesome tracks. Around the World and Da funk, Human After All and Robot Rock.
I think Homework might win just for the Around the World video.

i can't say I'm really all that up to date on dance genre-ation, or a huge fan of house/D&B/trance etc., nor very interested in listening to other D&B. But thank you, i read your thread about them and they sounds very interesting if nothing else.
