A quicik vid of me drumming

It's very short, and something I did before we started recording some tracks. It was filmed on a camera, so it's pretty poor quality, but still a decent clip. Also, I wasn't really expecting it, my guitarist just started to film. I'm curios to know what you'd think....

My playing is mainly metal, however my listening is primarily experimental jazz and such....doesn't make much sense, I know

Nice foot work. The hand stuff was good, but paradiddles or some kinda evolved sticking would have been the bomb.

Easy there big fella! lol, but seriously sounds good though you look really tense when you play fast. Also, are you using really long sticks or do you just grip at the way back of the stick? I would choke up a bit because you can still get power but you will have more technical facility around the kit.

I would choke up a bit because you can still get power but you will have more technical facility around the kit.
In that vid I was using a simple Vater 5A (it's my main stick in general too). And yeh, I do grip pretty far back where there won't be too much stick visible, but still some. It's how I've taught myself to hold a stick, and I feel comfortable at the back.

And Ant, it was very unorganized. Complete improv, where I wasn't expecting anything. I pretty much just put in some fills with a couple grooves.
