Play with your feet. Or elbows, ala Youtube snare solo guy.

I dont think thats as bad as breaking your thumb or index... imagine playing without a fulcrum.

Yes Bonham.
I know that, but it's still hard to play.

You must play congas with your feet. Dancing.

free hand technique for rolls.
put your finger in a mini splint, its temporary, still might hurt, but should hold you down for a 4 min set.
Or you could tape it up real good with some cloth tape. Thats about all I can think of dude. hope that helps.

If possible, try not to attend.
It wont help using a broken bone, especially putting it through stress.

Be a man, Bonham made his hands bleed from beating on his drums
Or take a ton of pain killers
or drink till you cant feel feelings.

My snare drum is splattered with blood where I cut my finger on a cymbal and didn't notice. Looks pretty cool actually.

Just use the fulcrum as much as possible.
Stick your pinkie out when playing to keep it elavated ;)

Psssh is this guy a weak Travis Barker wanna be or what?!
Just playin George, that sucks, hope it gets better soon! Not worth injurying it further, or causing it to not heal right from playing on it. My suggestion, if it hurts to play on it. Drop the gig.
Pain is the sign of something bad - this is one of those time the risk to payoff just ain't worth it.

Word, I've had that happen a few times.
If the guy just got a wet napkin at the time shoulda cleaned up no problem.

So I played in the end.
And my hand is pretty much green.
But we did well, and I managed to play marimbas with two fingers on my right hand. But I had some difficulty playing snare.
