I don't understand why you continually muddle the issue. We're talking about the Palestinian method of suicide bombing Israeli's as a way to intimidate the Israeli government into submission. Palestinians need to renounce this and recognize Israel before they can hope to achieve peace.

Now, the reason Israel takes military action, which you misrepresent as "bombing civilian areas" is to catch those responsible for militant activities. If there were no militant activities, there would be no military action. Military action by Israel is a response to Palestinian militant activity, and when the militants hide amongst the rest of the population, Israel has no other reasonable action than to go into the cities, as they recently did.
