Life has a way of changing on you. This time 3 months ago I was in a band that was getting ready to do some very heavy touring, and thusly I geared up to handle such touring duties. Well, the band broke up before the touring began and to make the situation more dramatic I'm going back to school in the fall. All this equates to me needing to downsize my rig. This sale actually brings great displeasure to me because this gear combination sounds exactly how I want a bass rig to sound. That being said, I really have no need for something this complex now that my life is going to be changing to such a drastic degree.

I'd like to sell the following components from my rig. All prices include shipping to the lower 48 US states. I will accept paypal, but the buyer eats the fees. Pics will be coming, hopefully tomorrow:

Avalon U5 (http://www.avalondesign.com/instrudi.html)
This thing is in like-new condition, and actually a month ago had a VERY talented tech go through it thoroughly. He found a couple of connections that were never even soldered at the factory. He checked every connection, cleaned every possible part, and has deemed the unit in better-than-new condition! This unit now has better than new functionality, and looks basically brand new. I will also include the rack ears for racking this U5 by itself (does not include rack ears for side-by-side mounting of two U5's). I'd like to get $400 for this. I will also do a trade on this unit for a Phil Jones Bass Buddy, plus cash.

Rane DC-24 (http://www.rane.com/pdf/old/dc24man.pdf)
Picked this up from TB's very own greenboy a while back. While this has been without a doubt the single greatest compressor I've ever used I need to get rid of it to help in the downsizing of my rig. This thing is a compressor, expander, limiter, and an active crossover. 2-Channels with true stereo, recombine, and full-range operation. Excellent sound, a bit tricky to setup, but incredible potential once its setup properly for your rig. This is the newer version with both XLR and TRS input/output jacks on the back panel. Includes Rane power supply. Almost-new condition. I bought this from greenboy for $190 shipped, and since its in identical condition I'm not going to knock too much off of the price I paid. Let's say $180.

Furman PL-PlusDM (http://www.furmansound.com/pdf/datasheets/METERED-6_datasheet.pdf)
Great 1U power conditioner and light module. Nothing really to discuss that can't be seen in the link above. Very functional, like-new condition. I seem to remember paying $80 for it new, so let's say $65.

Gator 8-Space Roll Rack (http://www.gatorcases.com/productsmodeldetail.aspx?LID=1&PID=20&MID=276)
8-Space rolling rack case with rollerblade style wheels and a sturdy luggage style pull-out handle. Very small amount of wear to the case from typical road-gigs. Nothing major. Selling new on MF right now for $170. Will sell mine for $140.

Entire package: If you want to buy all of it (total individually would be $785) I'll take a big hit and sell it for $700.

Contact me here on MX or via email at edge_q5@yahoo.com

Thanks!

-Chris

Yes!

Sell it all and get a Roland.

:D

On topic, I'd like the compressor, but can't really justify owning it, or using the money for it.

Out of curiosity whats your rig now going to consist of?

The key-word here is DOWNSIZE :p

I'll be moving down to a 4-space rack case which will have my QSC PLX1602, Korg DTR-1000, and Nady U-88b. My preamp needs will be taken care of by either a Phil Jones Bass Buddy (when I'm feeling hi-fi) or a Sansamp PBDDI (when I'm feeling lo-fi). My current speaker cabinet (SWR Workingman's 8x10T) is going to be replaced by a much smaller, much lighter, much louder Dr. Bass BL2260 Neo.

Come on guys! Buy my Gator case and my Rane DC-24!!!!! :D

Woah is the SWR your record for being your longest owned piece of equipment? You had it when I first joined.
