WHen I boost my rig(Sansamp Preamp, QSC power amp, Hartke XL 410), my bass squeals. But when I hold my strings it stops. About two years ago I got luthier to put on a badass bridge and SD's on my p bass so is it possible it's not grounded? And if I do this myself is it simply the process of just making sure the wire is touching the bridge or is it something more?

usually bass feedback indicates that the pre is too hot. try turning the sansamp down.

I agree... Sounds more like a feedback problem than a grounding problem.

Nah....we're talking about 100-200mV here. If it did shock you, I doubt you'd even notice.
