guitarist buying bass equipment, eep.

basically, my bassist wanted a new bass since he didn't like his shecter XXX 4 string so i was able to get him a brand new Warwick Rockbass Corvette for $320 out the door at my local Guitar Center.

is this a decent price for this bass? because i looked at the retail and it was like $779.

i went by name brand because from what i have heard i warwicks are good.

Warwick and Warwick Rockbass is absolutley not the same.

With that said, i have owned bot A Warwick Rockbass corvette and a Warwick Streamer LX 4, and the rockbasses aint bad, they are different from warwick in every espect exept for the body design, but are pretty nice basses for the price, but new i would rather go for something that does the same trick but does it better and feel better (IMO) A fender Geddy Lee or any fender in that price range.

for what you paid for it, i would say you got a pretty good bass IMO.

Rockbasses are realy quite good, usually way overpirced though. $320 is a god price though, I say get it.

from the rockbasses i have played i would say you got a great deal, only really akin to warwick in shape but still fantastic basses

Squire's are probably the best basses you can buy but people will probably disagree with me here.

Not the best, but they do exactly what you want a bass to do.. fills out the bass spectrum..

Those are, usually, around 600 USD. I would say that 320 USD for that bass is a rather good deal, especially new. I have never played one personally, but that is because I am not a fan of Warwick, in general.

thanks everyone, i picked up the bass today in apline white.

my first suggestion were the fender jazz bases and such, but he doesn't like fender basses.
