Improvised bass over a drum track I made with a little bit of guitar in there, I think it's pretty decent. I like my tone. Anyone that listens and comments will get rep++ (i know this isn't the pit, but I want to know what people think of my stuff)

That was cool and groovy. I didn't really notice the guitar a whole lot, since it was back in the mix. Or at least that's how it sounded to me. Anyway, I agree on your tone. It's good, with a nice bit of bite.
Otherwise, I like the fact you kept it short. If it had gone on any longer, it'd probably have been boring.

Oh how intresting.
I actually really liked it. Had a groove to it, tone was pretty hawt. The end where it started to climb up was a little...wierd, kinda through it off for me, but it finished quite nice.

Yeah I just put a little little bit of guitar in there just to add a little bit of something so it wasn't just bass and drums.

Thanks for the comments. I agree about that last part, I hit a note I didn't mean to and tried to just go with it, but I mean I didn't go over it to make sure I got it all right, it was mostly done on the first takes.

Great fat tone. I didn't notice the guitar that much either. I really like how you utilized a wide range of notes. Songs where people have like almost all notes on one or two strings around the same area on the fretboard get old really quick, and that wasn't a problem with this song. It stayed interesting the whole time.

Groovy, nice tone, cool main riff. The end was pretty weak but aside from that it was a cool song. The bass drum coulda grooved with your lines more.

in case anyone was wondering, i used my MIM jazz. I don't know, i'm always really happy with the tone i can get out of it.
I used a pick for most of this one, which is probably why there's more 'bite.'
:amaze:
cool man, what did you use to write the drum track? the guitar didn't seem that hidden to me, maybe just because i could have been looking for it more.

I used ACID pro 4.0 to make the drums. I was going to make them more interesting and not just the same thing repeating the whole time, but I got lazy.

I dig man. I loved how insync you were with the drums. I almost feel like the ending kinda died out a little bit because of the tightness with the beat, then your notes sounded like they got a little sloppy rhythm wise, just really really slightly. Just some super picky things.
You bass lines are really interesting. Actually, kinda just the melodic nature of the fills was really impressive to me. Dig.

wow. That tone is killer. Everyone always says that when your playing sucks, so I expected you to have blah tone and bad technique. But that is a fantastic tone and the playing was right on. What was the blend setting on that, and what did you record through?

both pickups on full, and the tone all the way up. Like I said, I played with a pick, with a pretty strong attack. Also, my strings are super light gague, but they are about a year or so old.

Very nice tone man,has a nice groove to it.Though I think it could have stood to lose the guitar,I don't find it really added anything to it.

are you in any bands man? You definitely gotta get ahold of one, or start your own.
(does this mean I get double rep?)

I really liked the tone...it makes me want a J bass really bad. As was said by a couple other people, the end was sketchy, but it resolved itself kind of. Good work.

Nice work man, you got improvising skills that I don't think I will ever have.
I really liked it. Keep it up buddy :)

Yeah, it's been too long since we have heard your stuff. I've praised it ever since I joined the forums and this isn't any different. I kind of liked the ending, if the piece was longer it'd be cool to hear it change from something different then that. Good stuff.

yeah, i actually joined one around christmas time. weve got a few shows coming up, and we've been talking to people from shady records (yeah weird, but they are apparently gearing toward rock bands these days) about getting more shows and that business.
:amaze:
the drums kind of killed it for me, but it was a nice little tune.
