Dear Sputnikmusic community:
As I'm sure you know, there was a competition held in the pit tonight. This competition was aimed at the finest bowmen of Sputnikmusic. Needless to say, the competition was looking to be fierce, and many an archer had let an arrow fly in the hopes that they would be crowned champion. I believe that there was even a proposed prize of some sort, perhaps a large avatar, or even a million posts. I was even given the impression that such a reward was supported by Sputnikmusic's founder, Jeremy Ferwerda.
However, this impression seems to have been slightly eschewed from the fact that, quite recently, the competition came to an abrupt halt. It is bewildering to think that such a healthy test of skill could be deemed inappropriate for the forum community. If this was the reason for its end, I beg that the decision be reversed.
I understand that, in my haste, it is possible that I am completely off-base with my reactions. Could it be that the authorities decided the competition should be held off until a proper tournament tree was set up? Or, were the powers that be merely waiting for the marketing aspect to build so that all of Sputnikmusic would be in attendance? Perhaps I could design an advertisement of sorts for the newsletter, and the competition could be rescheduled for a more "prime time" setting? I would be more than willing to do so.
A concerned community member,

p.s. make this my avatar plz:
