Anyone interested in starting this up again/running it? It can be pretty time consuming but if we have a large number of people contributing and get mx to get registration through the review site itself we could get a readership which would make it worthwhile. I would like to contribute but can't commit to running it again. So, anyone interested or have any suggestions for something else to keep casual users informed?

I'm interested in writing for it but have no idea/time to design it, run it, etc.
But yeah if we could get word out about this on the site, that would be great.

I'd write for sure, but would fail if I tried to run it.

Is it a daily, weekly or monthly newsletter?

I can send you some old versions if you're interested, just drop me your email. However the format/content could significantly change if someone else runs it or if we collectively decide to change it up.

Some screencaps of the last issue for a general idea.

I'd be up for writing something monthly.
Running it would be a resounding no :(

I never knew there was a newsletter. That looks like a great idea. Sign me up to recieve it, not maintaining it :)

What does "running it" mean exactly? What does the person who runs it do?

The person who runs it:
- recruits writers and bitches at them to get pieces in
- establishes the design
- formats the newsletter (I used thunderbird, outlook or publisher or something like that would work too), puts the pictures in etc.
- writes some stuff
- edits/formats the writers' pieces
- troubleshoots
- recruits readers and sends it out to them
- collaborates with interested parties to get cool ideas going (SIAT and Shadows had a reviewer faceoff thingy, Jom was looking to do interviews, we established "staff writers" in the last month and they did some cool things like Bready's Australian music focus etc. etc.)
I had a team of about 5 people going, plus about 10 contributing writers outside of the core group. Damrod/Storm in a Teacup compiled key news stories, Jom ran the ROTM comp (for which I would write a little blurb), SOP/FlawedPerfection/Kyle/Hep Kat/JXD a few other people wrote artist profiles and blurbs for new releases, and I filled in the blanks with site news, new release schedules, some blurbs and whatever else came up. Then as I said there were a number of people who contributed articles.
It's not something that can be done alone, but basically the organiser is responsible for putting all the pieces together.
It's great that people are interested in contributing/reading this but it can't exist without someone running it. :(
I'm computer illiterate so I'm out for the count.
I don't even know what thunderbird is =/
But I would be genuinely happy to contribute articles or any other material.

Looks like it's up to you again :o

Hey if you send me your old design for the newsletter I can do it, I think.
Actually, I'm playing around with it and I think I figured it out, I'll play around a bit more.
Ok I have a basic design, so I can run this.
