I want to electrify my kit. I'm pretty tired of not being able to play with my parents home, I'm lucky to get 1/2 an hour of playing in a day. So, if someone could help me figure out what kind of triggers to buy, a module, cables, and whatever else I need, I would appreciate it. I was thinking these triggers, an ebay module, 2 or 3 practice pads as cymbals, mesh heads, and the cheapest cables that will work.

Triggers:

Any advice or help?

And to finish off the title...
Boy

Boy
Boy

Now in the street there is violence
And then there's lots of work to be done
No place to hang out our washin'
And then they can't blame all on the sun

Oh no
We gonna rock down to
Electric Avenue
And then we'll take it higher
Oh
We gonna rock down to
Electric Avenue
And then we'll take it higher

Workin' so hard like a soldier
Can't afford the things on T.V.
Deep in my heart I abhor you
Can't get food for the kid

Good God
We gonna rock down to
Electric Avenue
And then we'll take it higher
Ho
We gonna rock down to
Electric Avenue
And then we'll take it higher

Oh no
Oh no
Oh no
Oh no

We gonna rock down to
Electric Avenue
And then we'll take it higher
Ho
We gonna rock down to
Electric Avenue
And then we'll take it higher

Boy
Boy
Boy
Boy

Oh no
Oh no
Oh no
Oh no

We gonna rock down to
Electric Avenue
And then we'll take it higher
Ho
We gonna rock down to
Electric Avenue
And then we'll take it higher

how much do you want to spend? for eleven thousand dollars you can get something really cool. Just kidding. I would settle for any electric kit at this point.

Maybe a DW Go-Anywhere Practice Kit. I'm really lost between the two right now.

Would you make your own pads if you got the alesis?

Roland triggers are the only way to go

But this will be pricy

for a snare you will need a RT-10S, RT-10T for toms, RT-10K for kick

These are about $30 each....

But you will also need to buy a TMC-6 which is a midi converter. There about $250.

Do not cheap out on electronics. Roland is the way to go

I'm extremely stuck. Will the Alesis pack work pretty well? After that I still don't know about cables.

Cheap electrics=****

If you're gonna get electrics, go all the way and get the top of the line. I would look at Roland or Ddrum triggers. or you can go for the DW practice pad. Its your choice.

the whole alesis company is pretty crappy... Never cheap out on gear, espically electronics

Go roland

and what do you dont know about cables? One end goes to the trigger, the other goes into the modual or converter... How hard is that?
