Okay, so here's the situation:

I have a PA where I rehearse. Powered Mixer/Speakers with mics for my drums and I want to record my drums to my laptop. The soundcard on my laptop obviously isn't powerful enough to handle it so I want something to plug the mixer's output into, and then have whatever that is inputting into my laptop to record with Adobe Audition. I was looking at some of the "Mobile Recording" stuff by M-audio but I'm not sure which features I need to make sure it works and didn't know what to shoot for.

Any help is much appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Well, my limited knowledge is all i can offer but usually you can do an audio out from a mix through like an XLR or you can do the sterio outpouts(red and white). The audio interface things usually come in usb thats what I think you are looking at. From what I know you can take an interface and run an XLR from the audio out on the mixer to the interface, which inturn plugs into the USB of your labtop.

Thats a possible way I beleive, downsides are you wont be able to edit every mics input once its recorded as if it where done using other forms.

Sorry if I am no help it was worth a try.
